A band of local ringers will be attempting a quarter peal at Newbury Tower. The attempt will start at 5pm on Sunday 27th February, prior to the 6pm church service.

The 2022 AGM of the Newbury Branch will be held at Yattendon Village Hall on Saturday 5th March. There will be an Advanced Practice (formerly the Surprise Practice) on the third Friday of each month, starting on 18th March at Highclere from 7:30pm to 9pm. The next first-Friday Branch practice will be at Great Shefford on April 1st.Great Shefford is a unique ringing experience in the Newbury Branch, with its anti-clockwise ring and exciting spiral staircase. Very nice, easy-ringing bells though. Suggested methods are Plain Bob Minor and Little Bob Minor.
May’s Branch practice will be on Friday 6th at Peasemore (7.30pm).The method of the month is Antelope Doubles, (as featured in The Ringing World recently). Other methods will be available!
