The bell ringing group We are a small friendly group with a few learners and some more experienced ringers. We can ring Stedman doubles and touches of Grandsire and Bob doubles and Bob minor. On a good day, we’ll have a go at Bob and Grandsire triples and very occasionally Kent minor, Stedman triples and Bob major. We ring for Sunday services, and if there are only three or four of us we’ll ring Stedman singles, which you don’t come across very often. Our practice night is Wednesday from 8pm to 9pm, and we welcome visitors of any standard, as well as anyone wanting to learn to ring.

Visiting groups of ringers can arrange for access to the tower by contacting the Tower Captain.

There are eight bells. Access to the tower is by a wooden spiral staircase.

St Mary’s Church dates from the 13th century. The bells were rehung on a metal frame in 1980 and the two smaller bells were added in 1982, bringing the ring up to eight.
