The 6 bells of East Garston underwent a complete restoration by Whites of Appleton during 2022/2023. The Treble had to have specialised welding to repair a crack that had been in the bell for many years, the other 5 bells received new headstocks and were retuned to match the 5th which is a historic, listed bell and therefore could not be included in the retuning. All the bell wheels and fixings were replaced with new. The work had been long overdue and the bells had become very difficult to ring. The last major work had been carried out in the late 19th Century with only general maintenance keeping them ringing out across the village. The oak frame was not replaced during the restoration and dates back to the 18th Century.
